- We're now less than one week away from the All-Star game, where many of us can witness the greatness of Jason Varitek. But there are good things too...okay, other cool things to talk about. So if you're an AL fan and you're in the baseball doldrums because those asshole Sox and Yanks fans voted half their (undeserving team) into the game, take solice in this:
- Vote Burrell
- With Ryan Howard batting something that represents an average, at first glance you have to wonder why I would even suggest he be in the All-Star game. Howard now leads the league in Home Runs and RBIs. Our friends at Recondite Baseball have even more interesting facts about Howard and his quest to be the best "Power Only" hitter of all time
- Continuing the Phillies trend, Mark Mulder started for the Cards yesterday. The result of the game was an aforementioned Howard blast in the 8th to win it. In Mulder's starter however, he threw 16 pitches prior to leaving and his status is now in serious doubt...forever
- I think Adam Rubin's of the NY Daily News headline works best: "Not a Joke: Moises Alou Hurt Again"
- I wonder of the Harden trade included bubble wrap?
- Wait...Trent Dilfer wasn't retired before?
- Not only is the Elton Brand Deal Official, but he took less money to be in Philly (who wouldn't?!)
- Ha! Chris Henry is poor...
- Elton Brand understands why those Philly folks booed Santa...
- No Pants? No Problem!
- Let the rumblings begin...Brett Myers isn't happy (too bad its not because he sucks)
- Look: Something you don't care about! (Seriously, its stupid...don't click)
